Last month, there were a number of rumours about Apple taking a plunge into the music streaming pool, joining the likes of Pandora, Spotify, Rdio et al.
The whispers have resurfaced again, this time from Bloombergsaying that the iPad maker is in talks with 'major music labels' and could secure partnerships by the middle of November (2012) for an official Q1 2013 launch.
In particular, Apple's service would be a blow to market leader, Pandora, which experienced an 86 per cent mobile revenue growth year-on-year.
The Apple offering is expected to run on an ad-supported revenue model and the firm is said to be pushing for exclusive access to release songs early.
