Apple has reportedly once again lost an iPhone prototype in a bar, echoing the loss of an iPhone 4 prototype last year which was subsequently sold to gadget blog Gizmodo for $5,000.
A CNET report said the phone was lost a San Francisco bar Cava 22 in late July. Well-connected Apple last year managed to get police to raid the home of the web site's editor in search of the phone. This time they led police to the door a residence after tracing the prototype electronically.
A man described as in his 20s admitted to police that he had been at the bar but denied all knowledge of the phone and 'allowed' police to search his home, uncovering nothing.
