It's a 'Boots to Asses style app'. Get ready to lay the smack down.
Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson goes by many names; The People's Champion, The Brahma Bull, The Great One, and The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment, to name but a few, so it seems about time he joined the app world.
The wrestler-cum-Hollywood film star has teamed with WWE for the launch of 3D action mobile game, WWE Presents: Rockpocalyspe. The player, of course, steps into the shoes of the 6'5 man mountain, while the game takes place on a movie set.
Sounds pretty glamourous, right? Not quite. The Rock finds that his crew and cast members have been infected with a disease that gives them violent tendencies, which prompts him to lay the smack down and unravel the cause of the outbreak.
Perkins Miller, EVP of digital media for WWE, said: "This is WWE’s first ‘action strategy’ game and we’re thrilled that WWE Champion The Rock is right at the center of it. Our fans have come to expect compelling content from WWE on every platform and this high energy game with customisable experiences will once again deliver."
Johnson, said: "I am excited to partner with WWE and some of the best game developers in the world to bring something cool for fans to play. Boots to Asses style app…this will be fun!"
