New Nielsen stats reveal on-going tilt towards the Google platform.
According to June data from the market watcher, Android has 39 per cent of the smartphone OS market, with Apple iOS is in second place at 28 per cent, and RIM on 20 per cent.
But Apple is still bossing the handset space, in which it has (self-evidently) 28 per cent. The next closest is RIM with 20 per cent, and HTC with 14 per cent.
Indeed, HTC is the US market's top maker of Android and WinPho devices by units shipped.
