New Yorkshire-based developer to bring franchise to iOS and handheld platforms, claims UKIE chairman
Activision Leeds is developing a new Call of Duty mobile game, claims UKIE chairman Andy Payne.
Speaking to VideoGamer, Payne said that the new Yorkshire-based studio would be responsible for all handheld and iOS games in the blockbuster franchise going forward.
He said that some of the assets used throughout the franchise by the likes of Infinity Ward and Treyarch would again be used by the Leeds team for its upcoming titles.
Payne however refused to state whether the mobile studio was working on upcoming Vita game Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified.
"Activision are like a machine," said Payne. "I have to be careful what I say about these guys because I know them so well and they'll cane me.
