78 per cent of Brits use a smartphone as primary web browsing option

But the device could be riddled with malware, as 52 per cent are in the dark about smartphone security.
Mobile management firm Kaspersky Labs teamed with YouGov to find 93 per cent of Brits own a smartphone, compared to 64 per cent that own a desktop PC.
The turn in the tide has made a huge impact, with 78 per cent using a smartphone as their first web browsing method, falling to 57 per cent for desktop users.
Meanwhile, Brits are the most lax Europeans for adopting smartphone security, with 52 per cent oblivious that such software even exists, while just 19 per cent have adopted anti-virus tech.
