Description

EEMame is a port of Mame to Symbian devices by Peter van Sebille. Staffan Ulfberg made some changes to EMame so that it runs on Sybian Series 60 devices as well. There are no game roms supplied with EMame. You have to obtain them elsewhere and put them in a folder called "EMameRoms" in the root of your C or E drive. See Staffan's home page for more information about EMame.

Known problems
If a game crashes, starting the game (or any other game) again always fails. If this happens, you have to restart EMame to start a game again.
The in-game configuration menu cannot be used to configure keys. It turns out that the clock() function does not work on Symbian. (Could easily be fixed.)
In the list of games, there's supposed to be a find box for faster access to games. For some reason I just can't get the find box to appear. (If someone wants to help with this, look at the resource file (emame.rss), or in Dialogs.cpp.)
Pressing the menu button to go back to the Series 60 shell should pause the game. This works sometimes, but not always. (When it doesn't, the game keeps drawing its output so that it's almost impossible to use the phone. The OS shuts the app down in a while.) Also, resuming the game after this never works.

Installing game roms
There are no game roms supplied with EMame. You have to obtain them elsewhere and put them in a folder called "EMameRoms" in the root of your C or E drive.
Working games
In theory, EMame supports around 1000 games. That is, it was copiled with support for over 1000 games. Unfortunately, a lot of these do not work very well: for example, they may run too slow or need an analog joystick or a paddle to be playable. Of course, there may also be bugs in EMame that make the game crash... The following is a list of some games that have been tested to run on EMame for the Series 60.
